A chapter written little piece by piece as time allows. The end has long been weighed, I had to be sure of the layout of my last chapters, plus the approach end I must be cautious and harder it is to let me go free.
also difficult not to write everything in one go without having the text in front (in transport for example) it takes me sometimes rewrite parts, rearrangement text so that everything is connected properly. I suppose that the chapter will gain fluency over the proofreading is therefore a first draft.

Chapter XXIV. Orlamünde - Talks
Orlamünde sat on a stone bench in the gardens overlooking the city wolves. The sun warmed his skin white and she closed her eyes to enjoy its rays. She could not remember the last time she was so calm and serene. She leaned back, resting on his arms, the sun caressing her delicate neck. Birds hopped from branch to branch in the flowering bushes. Spring was here, finally! She smiled gently while a gentle breeze came to the thrill.
She savored this moment of rest because she suspected she would not have another before long even if we were now with onions for her. She was entitled to the most beautiful remains of the city and the wealthy merchants and nobles who had not fled the city were cooling their heels outside his door. Even the wounded were embarrassed to see her now. He had just two words to the enemy to disrupt everyday life.
- Welcome Princess.
How did they know? She had no idea but no way to deny the facts then she noticed his face light up all his companions. She did not know exactly if it gave him any advantage in negotiations. In fact, she did not even want to participate but they all insisted, even the doctor who was terius more than enough to have his assistant make the wounded as anxious and excited. She wanted a little destiny to push forward and never give him a chance to live a normal life.
A maid entered the garden and she sighed, expecting to return to the harsh reality. The
Prince Florian was affable but his eyes made him shudder. He devoured the eye and you would have thought that it was he who had called. She had watched him carefully, looking for a way indicate that it was he who ordered his abduction as she thought, but it obviously did not intend to speak in public. At his side stood a clique of nobles equally puffed up with pride as each other, she was so used to the court her father that she could recognize them from afar. More surprising was the presence of a young man in armor who stared at her with an air of candid and blushed every time she raised her eyes to his side with a beautiful blonde who corresponded almost perfectly with the image that was the handsome prince Orlamünde it should have marry one day. Finally it was in a fairytale. It reminded him that he sang the songs her mother when she was young. Making melancholy, she began to sing:
" Moun pair to me mandado bos
Dins lob bones, pulley bos
Ven passar gay chivalier
D'u poutoun has surprio
Rear Tiretz you chivalier ... "It
is the braided hair, singing a tear at the corner of the eye. He missed his mother, his whole family in fact his father too, despite what he had done. She knew he loved in his own way but she also knew she would be entitled to any mercy from him, no mitigating circumstances. Maybe she could come back and resume a normal life? After all, she was still a virgin in some way. But the king would be willing to take the risk of returning a girl who had disappeared over a year and that no one can vouch?
She sighed and stood up while the maid that she was waiting for a signal to speak. Orlamünde felt the full weight of loneliness. She had no friends here, no one with whom to share things and having experienced a world where it was not a princess made him understand that she had always been alone, terribly alone. The maid was to have twice his age, wrinkled, damaged hair and pulled back too began to turn white, she nodded her head allowing it to speak.
- Preparations for the meeting are completed your majesty. Councillor Jehan asked if you want to inspect before tonight?
- Decline the invitation, tell him that I give him confidence to keep me safe.
She did not even know who was the advisor Jehan. She had not seen a single adviser throughout the seat and yet it seems that the city was filled whether to believe all those who offered his services now. It does not really feared for her life she hoped to have sent a clear message to Prince Florian
- I invite you to talks on neutral ground in a week. Civilians suffer from your unwarranted attack and it is important to resolve this conflict diplomatically.
- Although your status princess seems agreed by all, even if you have not provided any evidence, it is important whether you are speaking of the Kingdoms of the South. At last the king Kylios is still alive. had noted a noble liudmarkien an obsequious tone.
- I speak on behalf of the citizens of Pylos and that should suffice. she replied, dryly.
- You know you're not in a position to demand anything? Had added the prince.
- You know you live only because I granted you permission. Had she replied in a tone of false playful. Men
site had become livid, but the prince who had taken a bit more red color under threat. All they had never occurred to her to use her powers at bay. It was also not safe as it can but the important thing was that they believe in the can.
- In that case why not have done that? asked the blond man with a wry smile.
- Perhaps because unlike some here, I prefer dialogue.
- What do you want? cut the prince.
- As I have earlier, a neutral zone will be prepared at an equal distance from the ramparts and your troops and I think it would be in the interest of both parties to come and discuss a peace agreement. It would be appropriate to restrain your belligerence and come ask us what you really want.
Florian Liudmark did not used to being led by the nose and it showed, he winced more than once during his speech and he seemed to think the chances that it would eliminate any on.
She pretended to leave and added:
- Oh you do not know it that if I knew my father threatened by your troops would be forced to declare war on you. It is therefore appropriate that the bombing stops immediately.
She thought she had made a blunder because the men present understood that Kylios Forcefer was not yet aware that her daughter was alive. Yet there were already had too many witnesses for it to remain a secret for long and nobody had the courage to give the order to exterminate a peaceful mission led by a princess. Probably rightly.
the agreed day, the delegation of Pylos was ready before the main doors. Population came in numbers to attend a historic moment they knew. Wealthy merchants had put all their finery. Orlamünde led the procession in his red satin robe, Captain Jean at his side. This was probably the only man who did not accompany him for his personal benefit, all other boasted to defend areas that they had barely known. One maritime trade, the other imports, the third in cash and so on, even the representative of the people did not seem to have never visited the slums.
It should have been more careful about the composition of the delegation but we did it had not really let the occasion. They reached the tent first, Prince Florian and his followers was not forthcoming as any self-respecting monarch. Orlamünde already enraged and greetings were cold but she was especially surprised when he presented the young captain whom she had seen a week earlier.
- Here Captain Theo Montfaucon
- Montfaucon? They are not vassals of the South?
- They were in effect.
What had happened, then that things have changed so much in the South? The young man had he joined the Liudmark with his family. Other families they had betrayed his father?
was bad news and yet everything went from bad to worse. While she hoped to raise the siege against a simple trade agreement or even by threatening armies of his father, had proved Liudmarkiens greedier than reasonable. They demanded the establishment of an occupying force and in Pylos on the coast, ostensibly to control the flow of steel from the islands in summer. Moreover, they had the nerve to ask for monetary relief for losses during the assaults. Orlamünde was tired, got up and said a cold voice:
- You seem to take better yourself comfortable at the table as a battlefield. It might be appropriate to recall that you are the offenders here.
was silence in the hostile declaration and the prince rose, red-faced.
- I'm sure that Princess REE-an-ge-re will have something to offer that will please both parties. Your family is so rich that it will surely take over this small contribution to peace ...
The blond man, a certain Roland, who accompanied Montfaucon was being picking his nails with a knife as if this did not interest him, yet he raised his head and flung nonchalantly.
- The princess may prefer a .... Commitment to ensure sustainable peace
She did not see coming but it was certain that the man had planned his speech long. She glared at him ready to fight back but the prince is ahead with an evil smile.
- It is certain that the house Liudmark is honored by the proposed alliance between our two families. I am impressed by the gift of yourself to avoid heavy taxes to the people of Pylos which has already suffered too much. I'm sure your father will be more than happy to have so much good news in so little time.
- You are a pig. Is she whispered .
But the damage was done, the majority of his own delegation already considered the idea of marriage as the best solution that would avoid spending a single penny and even better not to levy new taxes against a people already hard hit. They went back more popular than ever and turn the case to their advantage for the people rejoice such a party and forgetting his troubles. We do it not asked his opinion, despite all she had done so because in the end, she was a woman. They expected her to accept without hesitation to save a good agreement between the two peoples that would ensure a consistent flow of money for everyone present.
She looked at the men around her and later, the soldiers liudmarkienne, men and even men, they must have families too. They seemed tired and worried. What did they make this war? Peace would it be more interesting for everyone? Even for her, if Florian Liudmark not match not really his ideal chivalric worst she could meet his father could have married an old noble and just as the prince would have required it to be burned for witchcraft. It was not even certain that his gift comes from one of the Saints, perhaps it was really marked by the horned god.
remained that if his suspicions were justified, the prince was far from being a very commendable and she shuddered at the idea that he could touch. Since Devian had "breached" it could no longer bear the physical contact of a man but in the end the challenge was not really there.
She reflected at full speed, Pylos was what could be closer today over his house and were looking past the shoal. In peacetime it was becoming embarrassing, too loved the people, too powerful and independent to be easily pushed from power, too young and new to the region so that we know what she planned and whether it was a threat or not. For some advisers Pylos it should be as menacing as the army beyond the walls. It bore these less fortunate, was there anyone here who thought the people or that it wanted it? He had to find another way out of this impasse.
His father should not even be aware of the situation there, she could not expect reinforcements and the city was not able to survive other week siege even with his help. She observed the noble
liudmarkiens around the table, dressed in satin and silk, covered with precious stones, a bodyguard for their color back. Even the young traitor had a bodyguard, a kind of muscle imposing mountain, the young man seemed so embarrassed in his presence he was unable to watch it. In the end, only man blond, Roland, denoted by what is a commoner like him among the great? She began to think that if she could eliminate the whole gang in front of her, the enemy would be left without command.
She nodded to Captain John, who leaned forward to hear what she had to say.
- Protects my body, whatever the price, take it all men and bring him to town when I finish. Is she whispered .
He hesitated, "all men" meant the bodyguards of the other advisers as well, leaving them helpless, but it was enough faithful to obey. He made a discreet nod and went back into position behind her. She leaves her
immaterial being run out of it for the first time this separation was not due to anger or pain but a simple desire on his part.
It fluttered in the banneret banneret, shaking up the heart of the first total shutdown, they hoquetèrent and collapsed. As head of the table, the guards at first believed to discomfort but when the head of the third knocked the table down dead, they understood. She then cut the flat of his hand, accelerating the work, excluding flesh like a sword through butter. Men fell like flies screaming. She put an end to many lives in his back while John cried
- For the Princess! That the blood flows.
Roland was the first to stand up and organize the troops. The other nobles were running for their lives, the bodyguard hesitated between fleeing or staying to fight this invisible enemy. They began to remove the prince, the young master being responsible for his protection while the other scatters. Roland grabbed a soldier by the collar and told him the militia of Pylos in a circle around his body. The city councilors cried, some called at the end of the massacres, others were stunned on their chairs to watch the carnage, she saw even a flee to the city by rolling up his robes. She wanted to catch
Prince but it was too far away, she could not reach it.
- JEAN! I beg you, my door closer.
She silently begged and screamed with all her might, throwing a cold wave to his patron. The man seemed to look at her a moment into his eyes and swallowed before launching his men
- Wear there, follow me!
And they went bravely to meet the enemy. Liudmarkiens soldiers began to arrive, although most remained undecided, too fearful to fight witchcraft with steel.
one leap forward, she caught the prince, she had the feeling of grabbing her soft silk garment but perhaps it was his own skin. She drew a sharp blow back. The pig had thought he was big as a vulgar tossed twig. The men who accompanied him turned in all directions, seeking the assailant without success.
She cried all his frustration
- Die carrion!
The man's eyes widened liquefy and his face, his skin slipped revealing the bone. He cried of course and most of the spectators watched helplessly as he was cut to pieces.
She laughed and cried together, she was jubilant as she disgusted herself so much savagery. Turning around she saw that his men battled farm, many had already given their lives against the enemy and they would take longer. Advisers survivors themselves, took their legs to their necks, some being pinned at full speed by rafters. So much the better, these opportunistic burst as it would give them a lesson. She began to the task, it was time to save John and his men.
